Twenty years of crosscultural experiments by Fabrizio Cassol in the service of musicians from all horizons have pursued the quest for musical bridges among musical cultures and languages. In particular, his ideas of “rhythmic harmony” or “rhythmic counterpoint,” and of “synchronisation”
of musical cultures will be developed.

› 10 instrumentalists, singers
Although not limited as to style, participants must nonetheless point to certain experiences in composition and sufficient instrumental proficiency to enable them to play in a group.
We offer this workshop as a place for exchanging ideas and experiences, which will center around crosscultural encounter, with a certain number of focal points for reflection. How can orality find an extension in musical writing?
How can forms of composition be seen as giving impetus to improvisation? Does rythmic harmony exist? How can we approach crosscultural transmission? Is individual expression still intimately connected to forms of group expression?
