Irène Kudela, pianist, vocal coach and linguist
Her varied competencies have brought her to the major theatres and concert venues, sought out as much for her musical as her linguistic qualities, as she speaks seven languages. She also teaches at the l'Atelier Lyrique of the Paris Opera, the National Opera Studio in London, the Opernstudio in Munich and the Hochschule in Frankfurt. She is frequently the guest of musical initiation programmes on radio and television.
Charlotte Pailhes, vocal coaching assistant
5 singers and 1 singer-pianist duo
This new training session is intended for 5 singers as well as a voice/piano duo. It focuses on discovery of the vast opera and song repertory of Russian and Czech composers.
With the increasing public exposure of this repertory, singers find themselves required to master pronunciation and style in these two languages. We offer singers a group approach to this universe. The study will enable them to develop reflexes in reading as well as a better comprehension of styles that have undergone very different cultural influences.
In addition, songs with piano will be studied from the musical and linguistic standpoint, which will enable a duo to deepen its understanding.
Instruction will be in individual or group lessons alternating with time for individual practice.
Study of the harmonic and dynamic context, pronunciation associated with study of the vocal line.
Study of the historical and cultural context.
