This workshop, offered by the Trio Almaviva and focusing on the First Vienna School (Mozart, Haydn, the young Beethoven), is intended for already existing trios or, in their absence, for young musicians (piano, violin, cello) who can be brought together for the session. Regular practice of early instruments is encouraged but not compulsory; the string players should, as a minimum, adopt gut for the two upper strings as well as a classical-style bow (loan possible during the week of instruction). Several early pianos or copies will be made available to the participants.
