Supporting the Foundation

The Royaumont Foundation is the leading French private-sector cultural foundation. It has public interest status and pursues a dual purpose:

> to keep Royaumont – a Cistercian abbey dating back to the 13th century – alive by conserving and showcasing the historic monument and organizing cultural programs that take place there throughout the year;

to support the work of artists by fostering their preparation, professional start and discovery by the public. The artists coming to Royaumont take part in training sessions throughout the year that culminate in the concerts held during the Music Season every autumn.

By expanding and diversifying its activities, Royaumont reaches out to a very broad audience - persons attending Music Season concerts, "Windows on Courses" events, "outside the walls" events and seminars held at Royaumont, as well as visitors to the site, teachers and schoolchildren.

The Friends of Royaumont have set a triple goal for themselves:

> contributing to the influence and renown of Royaumont

> facilitating participation by the public at large in the activities of the Foundation

> supporting development of the Foundation's cultural programs by providing additional funding.

Join the members of the Friends of Royaumont and be part of this cultural adventure within the association.

What is your contribution used for?

The Friends of Royaumont have decided to encourage the participation of very young professionals in these programs by awarding fellowships to young people under the age of 26.

The Association's goal is to continue the discovery of a new generation of performers, interpreters and artists and to contribute to the artistic awakening of children in both school-based and extra-curricular programs.Throughout the year, members of the Association will be kept abreast of changes in the number of artists and Abbey for Children workshops being supported.They will also be notified of public performances in which these artists will be taking part.

In 2007, The Association devotes 4% of its resources to overheads and to mailings. 96% of your contribution will thus go to fund the support provided to the artists.

The Law of 1 August 2003 raises to 66% the income tax reduction available to you on your donation of up to 20% of your taxable income (see membership brochure). For companies, the tax reduction is 60% of the amount of the donation of up to 0.5% of net sales.
