Professional artistic training, together with research and creation, is one of the main concerns of the Royaumont Foundation’s cultural activity. Our workshops are addressed to singers, instrumentalists, composers, improvisers, choreographers, and dancers.
Practice is the basis of every workshop. They are conducted by active artists known in all the world, and students work in small groups combining group lessons, theoretical courses, individual lessons, preparation for public performances…
In the specific field of musical performance, Royaumont proposes an in-depth work on vocal practice for soloists (Lieder, opera, oratorio, contemporary creation, polyphonies) and instrumentalists in improvisation and accompaniment (piano, continuo).
