Do the mice that live in the Royaumont music library like music? This is the question that the team that created “Les Pontikis” at the Opéra Comique in April 2022 asked themselves. And, without hesitation, she answered “Yes” and then imagined the hectic life of a family of adorable rodents, Mrs. and Mr. Pontikis, followed by their many children, all of whom love baroque music. The children who perform them sing arias by Bach, Handel, Lully, Rameau, Purcell and Pachelbel, accompanied by the young musicians of the Consort. A touching and exciting introduction to baroque music, to be shared with the whole family…

The Consort, a unique chamber music ensemble, has since 2016 brought together four young musicians with strong individualities – Sophie de Bardonnèche, Théotime Langlois de Swarte, Louise Pierrard, and Justin Taylor – in the service of a chamber work of the 17th and 18th century repertoire from trio sonatas to vocal recitals with orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The Consort has just completed a residency at the Fondation Royaumont (2020-2022) as well as at the Banque de France and the Fondation Singer Polignac. The ensemble Le Consort is supported by the Société Générale Foundation “C’est nous l’avenir” and by the Banque de France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
