“In today’s economic climate, which is hitting the cultural sector hard, the public-interest missions carried out by the Foundation are more vital than ever. I invite you to join us and lend your enduring support.”

A tradition of giving – The Cercle Saint Louis

In 2010, a group of American and French philanthropists came together to enable the Royaumont Foundation to acquire a precious manuscript by Debussy, La Damoiselle élue (The Blessed Damozel). This remarkable piece became part of the exceptional Debussy Collection held at the François-Lang Musical Library. Thus was born the Cercle Saint Louis — an international circle of donors formed in support of the Foundation.

Since 2010, the Circle has brought together 80 philanthropists who have chosen to support the Foundation’s mission. Each donor is free to direct their gift toward one of the Foundation’s areas of focus.

Members of the Cercle Saint Louis enjoy a privileged relationship with the founders’ family: Marie-Christine Daudy, their eldest daughter, and Clément Daudy, Mathilde Pérès, and Anne-François de Lastic, their grandchildren.

Each year, a dinner is held for the Circle’s members in the family’s private apartments at Royaumont Abbey.

At the initiative of the College of Major Donors — comprised of Cercle Saint Louis members — an annual gala is held in a prestigious venue: the Hôtel de la Marine, the Golden Gallery of the Banque de France, the Hôtel de Gesvres, or the Palais de la Légion d’Honneur.
