Do the mice that live in the Royaumont music library like music? This is the question that the team that created “Les Pontikis” at the Opéra Comique in April 2022 asked themselves. And, without hesitation, she answered “Yes” and then imagined the hectic life of a family of adorable rodents, Mrs. and Mr. Pontikis, followed by their many children, all of whom love baroque music. The children who perform them sing arias by Bach, Handel, Lully, Rameau, Purcell and Pachelbel, accompanied by the young musicians of the Consort. A touching and exciting introduction to baroque music, to be shared with the whole family…

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750): Jesus Bleibet meine Freude
Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704) : Te Deum (overture)
Jean Chardavoine (1538-1580) : A young girl (popular melody)
Johann Pachelbel (1653 – 1706) : Canon
Traditional song (England) : Greensleeves
Lully (1632-1687) : Chœur des trembleurs
Louis-Nicolas Clérambault (1676-1749) : The grasshopper and the ant
Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) : Dance Folia
Jean-François Dandrieu (1682-1738) : Sonata in G minor
Henry Purcell (1659-1695) : If love’s a sweet passion
Jean-Philippe Rameau (1682-1738) : Les Indes Galantes
Georg Friedrich Handel (1685-1759): Sarabande in D minor
