A body and a guitar… It only takes a little for poetry to burst forth. On a Prelude by Bach, the tense movements of a dancer and the fusional notes of a musician respond. The key to the work is listening, paying attention. A few meters away from each other, the two performers agree, harmonize for a moment, before disengaging to better resume their parallel trajectories. With this piece, the young self-taught choreographer from the breakdance scene explores with a rare delicacy the secret, organic and spontaneous ways in which we connect to those around us.

Born in Brussels in 1985, Julien Carlier, a graduate in physical therapy, approached dance through a career in breakdance. His choreographic work is rooted in concrete encounters, he likes to confront and question different artistic practices within his projects. Since 2015, he has created 4 pieces: MON/DE, Déjà-vu, Golem, Dress Code. He is one of the artists selected by the prestigious Aerowaves platform in 2020, and is currently resident choreographer at Charleroi Danse.

Gaëlle Solal
Gaëlle Solal discovered classical guitar at the age of 5 and entered the CNSM in Paris at the age of 16, where she was unanimously awarded the First Prize in guitar. In 1998, she became the first French woman to win one of the most important classical guitar competitions, the Alessandria competition. In 2006, after ten years with the Astor duo, Gaëlle Solal resumed her solo career, winning the second prize of the Guitar Foundation of America and performing in prestigious venues in over forty countries. More attached to freedom than to dogma, she moves seamlessly from the solemn solo in a long dress to the clownish duo Crazy Nails, from Bach to the Beatles, from contemporary to baroque music.
