Graduates of this training program were enriched by a program that provided a first introduction to the practice of singing in medieval repertoires: secular and solo singing, French and Italian, from the 13th and 14th centuries. The group was led by baritone Marc Mauillon, whose recording of “Songline” for solo voice, and his interpretation of pieces by Guillaume de Machaut, have been crowned with success. Marc Mauillon has been teaching medieval music practice at Paris Sorbonne University since 2018. Alongside their musical and vocal training, the laureates also carried out a literary analysis of medieval poems. Discover the fruits of their labor.
